This card is postmarked Sep 16, 1944 sent from a woman to her sister in Birdsboro, PA. The card message is” Dear Sis, it surely is swell down here. We have a very nice apartment. A dirigible has been going back and forth all morning. It seems right over the houses. Daddy is fishing, Catherine and I are on the closed in front porch and the other girls are up on the boardwalk ~ Anna.”
This postcard was written during world war II. The dirigible most likely came from Lakehurst Naval Air Station where a blimp squadron was stationed and patrolled along the Atlantic on the jersey shore during the war.

This is a postcard of the old Union Church in Seaside Heights. It was located on Franklin Avenue east of the Boulevard. I used to go to this church when I was little before it moved to Hiering Avenue in the mid to late 1960s. The building was re-used after the church moved. I recall a Pancake House business there. Perhaps some of you can recall more.
